Description: 70% of Americans age 65 and older will need long term care services and many do not have Traditional Long Term Care Insurance. There are a variety of reasons you may not have purchased a policy yet. Perhaps you want to know all of your options before purchasing a policy or an alternative. Estate Planning and Elder Law Update 2017

Description: In this interactive workshop, Elder Law Attorney, Stephen R. Elville, will discuss contemporary issues in elder law that routinely affect individuals and families, including a 2017 general update; legislative concerns; incapacity planning; asset protection; and why clients are coming to see elder care attorneys and what elder law clients are advising them. Further, Mr. Elville will delve into a discussion of what an elder law consultation is and why it serves as the basis for change, as well as what clients are learning and the decisions they are confronted with from these consultations. Lastly, Mr. Elville will discuss top-of-mind estate planning considerations for clients in 2017, including the importance of powers of attorney, heath care decision making and advance medical directives.
