There's no open season for GEBA's vision plans, you can enroll anytime throughout the year and your plan is effective the first of the month after you enroll.
Access the NVA Online Provider Directory and fill in your Group Sponsor (GEBA) and Zip code. When viewing the results of this search, be sure to review the “Service Level” of each provider as a provider may provide Eyeglasses/Contacts, Exams, or both.
Yes. You may order contact lenses from any provider offering eyewear (glasses and contacts) from NVA's network, or you may order them through the Contact Fill website or (866) 234-1394
Once a GEBA member, always a GEBA member as long as you own a plan. That means you can keep your GEBA Vision Insurance as long as you desire regardless of retirement or resignation. If you decide to keep your coverage, please complete the retirement/resignation form. You may need to select another form of payment.
Because benefits are payable annually, we ask that participants commit to one full year of premium payments upon enrollment. Plan cancellation may only occur during annual Open Enrollment or due to a life-changing event. While there is no monetary penalty if you cancel your plan outside the Open Enrollment season, you will be unable to re-enroll in a GEBA vision plan for one year. The same one-year policy applies if you are terminated from a vision plan for non-payment. All cancellation requests must be made in writing, by completing a cancelation form, or directly on your vision invoice.
Simply put, the cost to remove the co-pay exceeded the savings by having the co-pay in place. As your trusted source for insurance, we sometimes run across inconsistencies in pricing and we capitalize on them. This was one of those cases.
