GEBA’s Professional Liability Insurance (PLI) with FEDS Protection is here to help protect you from the unique exposures you have as a federal employee. Any active federal employee working at least 17.5 hours/week can apply for PLI coverage.
Coverage Highlights: Coverage addresses complaints made against you by: Congress or an Executive Branch agency; another country or territory; a subordinate or other employee; or even a member of the public- resulting in OIG, Congressional, Commission, or management directed investigations. This coverage entitles you to legal representation and covers expenses and judgments awarded against you, worldwide.
The Department of Justice, at its own discretion, can choose whether or not to provide you with representation. Even if it represents you, the government is not obligated to pay any judgments against individual employees, even for acts committed within the scope of their employment.

The Total Annual Cost is Only $290*
Paid through a single annual auto-debit. This coverage will be effective the first day of any month and the premium is prorated per month.
Federal Law requires your Agency to reimburse qualified employees for one half of the PLI premium up to $150. Check with your benefits office at your Agency for specific eligibility and reimbursement procedures.
